This is one of the crafty gifts I made for Christmas. I actually made it on Christmas day. I know, I cheated, but I got these beautiful bird stamps in my stocking and had to use them instead of what I was planning on using. I picked up some decent candles at Target and they came with the leather rope and wooden bead--I think they added to the candle look so I kept them on. One thing I did learn by accident was if the candle has a rougher finish the stamped image actually goes on a bit better than if the finish is smoother. I've made these several times and had always used smooth candles. The rougher ones just produce a better finish.I then turned the candle over and stamped a floral image on. I'm very pleased with how they turned out. I think I may add these to my shop.
