BeBe

When my first son was born, my sister-in-law Amanda decided she wanted to be called Mimi. It's cute, easy to say and she thought it was easy enough that Stasiu would say it sooner rather than later. When her son, Isaac was born almost two years ago, she dubbed me Bebe. At first I thought it was a bit silly, but since I'm crazy for Mimi and Isaac, I went along with it.

Now, I come from a long line of women, especially with familial nicknames. We had a Peek, a Dibs and a few others. So this concept is not entirely alien and is actually a bit endearing to me. But, Bebe, I wasn't so sure about. I don't know why, but I wasn't so sure about it.

Sometime last week, Mimi called me because Isaac wanted to talk to me. So Isaac gets on the phone and is talking about his day and chocolate cake. Then I get it.

"Bye Bye Bebe, I love you"

Hook, line and sinker.

I love the name Bebe.

How cute!! My sister's auntie nickname is "Kika"! We love it and she won't be called anything else from her little neices!

I love Bebe and Mimi too. Soo cute:):) My friend's daughter calls her grandmother Gigi. My nephew calls my mother, Mummummy - I guess it is for Mummy's mummy:):)

awwwww That's so cute! Bebe is perfect!

*CNN talked about Byrd but didn't know what exactly happened and that's all I heard so I'm still in the dark about what went wrong with him.

He is adorable. It's so fun when they try to learn to talk. You have more joy to come with him. Thanks for stopping by my blog.

I think that Bebe is adorable. I had a very "modern" sister in law and she didn't even make my niece and nephew use Aunt when they referred to me. It killed me.
